Rachel and Stephen celebrated their wedding at Clonabreany House, a beautiful Georgian country house in the Meath countryside. An outdoor ceremony under the trees, a house full of family and a dance floor that never emptied – it was a day full of joy from start to finish.

Getting ready at Clonabreany House
The morning began in the elegant bedrooms of the house. Rachel read a card from Stephen by the window, while her sparkling, pearl-embellished gown from Dublin Bridal House waited beside an antique gilded frame. Hair by Michelle Walsh and make-up by Sinead Murphy completed the look.
Then came the moments everyone remembers: Rachel’s dad seeing her for the first time, her mum and the flower girls peeking around the door, and Stephen waiting quietly in the gardens before the ceremony.
An outdoor ceremony in the gardens
Rachel and Stephen were married outdoors, beneath the old trees of Clonabreany House. Rachel walked down a grassy aisle on her dad’s arm, lined with white flowers by Wildflower and Wren. There was plenty of laughter during the ceremony, a first kiss to loud applause and another kiss halfway back down the aisle.
Portraits around the house
After the ceremony we explored the grounds – the old stone archway, the gardens and, later in the evening, the open fields at sunset. A magician kept the guests (and the newlyweds) entertained during the drinks reception.

Consider an outdoor ceremony. The tree-lined lawn makes a natural, beautiful setting – and it looks incredible on film.
Save time for golden hour. The fields around the house glow at sunset; ten minutes away from the party gives you some of the best portraits of the day.
Think about guest entertainment. A magician during the drinks reception was a huge hit with Rachel and Stephen’s guests.
First dance and celebrations
The evening carried on in the marquee under twinkling fairy lights, with Smash Hits filling the dance floor and a first dance that ended in a dramatic dip kiss.
